CNC Research for Letterpress

A couple of weeks ago at work, I was invited to participate in a research project. The goal was to create type with a CNC machine; this research is spear-headed by instructor/book artist, Aimee Brown. With the aid of the CNC technician, we are going to experiment with printing on high-density foam, plastic, linoleum, and various wood: birch, maple, etc.

Next week we will proof the type forms! Exciting!
