Mom and Kid Camp 2019

School is out! Last summer, I took my daughter to Mom and Kid camp at Camp Fircom on Gambier Island. She had a blast swimming in the ocean, playing games, making tie-dye t-shirts and meeting new friends. As an exchange for camp tuition, I teach bookbinding workshops to moms. We will be heading off to Camp Fircom again in August. I will teach participants with found materials (expired calendars, scrap papers) and easy to find supplies (push pins in lieu of awls). Making books doesn’t have to be expensive if you are just learning. This summer, I will also be teaching the Polaris youth, so maybe some punk rock zines?!
