Gingerbread Blahs

Gingerbread Blahs, 2010, letterpress printed accordion book, 4.5” x 8.5” x 1.0”

This book is based on a short comic which I wrote and illustrated. It focuses on a gingerbread character who is experiencing a life crisis of sorts. Gingerbread Blahs was printed in Kasterlee, Belgium during an artist residency at Frans Masereel Centrum, the Flemish Centre for Graphic Arts. The 14 illustrated panels were printed using polymer plates on a C. Fremaux et Fils press and the paper is Revere Silk Ivory 250 gsm. The hand-set type on the title page and colophon is from the Netherlands and is mysteriously named Halbf. Shakespeare Bold.
